Juliet Hegedus is already a rock star in the women’s poker scene.  The Florida-based crusher from Hollywood is making serious waves at the 2025 World Series of Poker. Fresh off a sixth-place finish in the $1,000 Ladies Championship, Hegedus has again surged into the spotlight—this time with a top-five chip count at the most prestigious tournament: the $10,000 Main Event.

On Day 1B of the Main, Hegedus bagged 267,000 chips, placing her fourth among more than 1,000 players. With that stack, she’s well above the average and heading into Day 2 with plenty of ammunition. Her strong showing isn’t a fluke—it’s the result of consistent, fearless play honed through years of grinding the Florida poker circuit and leveling up on the national stage.

While many in the poker world were watching names like Michael Mizrachi or trying to make sense of Phil Hellmuth’s latest branded, camera-chasing entrance, those paying closer attention saw Hegedus carving a quiet but formidable path through the field. Her recent performance in the Ladies Championship—where she outlasted over 1,300 players to take home $34,667—solidified her status as one of the most dangerous women in the game.

This isn’t her first deep run, either. Hegedus has multiple cashes at the WSOP, along with a string of strong finishes at Seminole Hard Rock and other Florida venues. As of this week, she’s surpassed $212,000 in live tournament earnings, according to The Hendon Mob. Her steady climb through both regional circuits and WSOP fields has earned her national attention and respect among seasoned pros.

What sets her apart isn’t just her results, but her poise and calculated aggression under pressure, especially in final table spots. Though she’s remained focused at the tables, Hegedus has hinted on social media that this summer feels different, like something big is coming.

Only one woman—Barbara Enright—has ever made the WSOP Main Event final table, back in 1995. Nearly three decades later, Juliet Hegedus sits among the early chip leaders with a real opportunity to challenge that legacy.

If her play so far is any indication, Juliet Hegedus isn’t just playing for another cash—she’s making a serious run.
