Women from across the globe have come to Las Vegas to compete in the most prestigious poker games in the world. In the latest episode of the “Real Poker Girls Of Las Vegas” podcast, International Player Lorraine Stupack, from Melbourne, Australia, joined the cast to discuss her first experience at Summer Camp.

Lorraine’s Australian heritage was unmistakable when she greeted the podcast audience with a heavily accented “g’day” (good day) and ended it with uroo (slang word for goodbye). When asked by the host about her first summer in Vegas, she described it as “overwhelming, in the best possible way.” Her dream of attending the WSOP had come true, and she was thrilled to be able to play tournaments with her travel mates.
She explained other cultural differences and how the poker landscape differs from Australia to the United States. She added that tournament play in Australia has been limited since COVID and because of government oversight following some questionable actions from Crowne, her home casino.
This turn of events has made her predominantly a cash player, so she was like a kid in a candy store with many tournament options in Vegas over the summer. Although she considers herself a recreational player, she has earned a formidable reputation as a fierce player in Melbourne.
This impression has followed her to Vegas, where she has cashed in the WSOP Gladiator Series and is currently on day two of the WSOP Ladies Event, where she has outlasted the bubble, secured cash, and is trying to bring home a bracelet to the Common Wealth.
Tune in to the latest episode of The Real Poker Girls of Las Vegas to hear more in-depth coverage about Lorraine’s poker journey and the witty banter between her and the hosts, Lupe Soto, Tatiana Fox, and Rebbecca Scales.
