Ladies Week is already underway in Las Vegas, but tomorrow marks the start of one of its signature series as the LIPS Tour Women in Poker Summer Festival kicks off at the Golden Nugget with the $300 LIPS Ladies Championship.
What began years ago as a celebration of women in poker has grown into nearly two weeks of tournaments, networking events, educational opportunities, and social gatherings spread throughout Las Vegas. Players now have the opportunity to participate in women’s events at venues including the Orleans, MGM Grand, Wynn, Aria, Venetian, South Point, Caesars Palace, and the World Series of Poker at Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas.
The LIPS Tour has played a significant role in helping grow women’s poker by creating opportunities for players of all skill levels to compete, learn, and build confidence in a welcoming environment. Following the Golden Nugget kickoff, the festival continues with several marquee events, including the $800 LIPS Ladies Event at Venetian with a $150,000 guarantee, the LIPS National Championship at South Point, and the $2,500 LIPS Ladies High Roller, one of the premier events on the women’s poker calendar.
Helping connect players throughout the series is the Women’s Poker Association (WPA), the largest women’s poker organization in the world with an international membership spanning multiple countries. The WPA serves as a central hub for Ladies Week information and is one of the best resources for finding the complete schedule of women’s tournaments, social events, networking opportunities, and special activities taking place throughout Las Vegas.
One of the biggest benefits for players looking to get involved is that WPA membership is completely free. Whether you’re a first-time player, recreational enthusiast, aspiring professional, content creator, or industry professional, the WPA provides an opportunity to connect with women throughout the poker community.
Throughout Ladies Week, the WPA will also be celebrating the winners and achievements from events across Las Vegas, recognizing the players helping grow the game while inspiring the next generation of women in poker.
The excitement surrounding Ladies Week was also the focus of the latest episode of The Real Poker Girls of Las Vegas, now available on all major podcast platforms. Hosts Lupe Soto, Tatiana Fox, and Rebbecca Scales discuss the packed Ladies Week schedule, upcoming WPA activities, and the continued growth of women’s poker as more players than ever travel to Las Vegas for the summer series.
The episode also features Mel, a newer player fresh off the Aussie Millions who is now dipping her toe into the biggest poker stage in the world—the World Series of Poker. Her story reflects what makes Ladies Week so special: players from all backgrounds and experience levels coming together to challenge themselves, learn, compete, and become part of a growing global community.
With many of the biggest events still ahead, Ladies Week continues to showcase the talent, camaraderie, and opportunities that have helped make women’s poker one of the fastest-growing segments of the game.
Women Poker News will be following the action throughout the festival with tournament updates, player profiles, interviews, and behind-the-scenes coverage from across Las Vegas.
