The highly anticipated WPT Ladies Championship has kicked off at Wynn Las Vegas, attracting a slightly smaller field of 457 players compared to the previous year. Over the course of 15 intense rounds, each lasting 40 minutes, the competitors battled it out. As the dust settled, roughly 66 players successfully secured their bags for Day Two, as reported by WPT. The prize pool for this year’s championship stands at an impressive $443,290, surpassing the initial guarantee of $250,000 by a significant margin.

As Day Two approaches, the tension rises, with the Bubble expected to burst early on, as only 53 spots will be in the money. Leading the pack going into the next phase is the formidable Kathy Liebert, who has amassed an impressive chip stack of 636,000, equivalent to 106 big blinds. Liebert’s previous performance in the 2022 WPT Ladies Championship saw her finish in fifth place, earning a respectable $28,847. However, she faces stiff competition from talented players, including several notable women who have proven their skills on the poker circuit.

With plenty of poker left to be played, the outcome of the WPT Ladies Championship remains uncertain. The remaining players will continue playing with one-hour levels until they reach the final 9. The next round will occur on Thursday, November 7th, at 11:00 am.
